Apprenticeship Experience / Content Marketing Specialist
Alexis’s job is driven by storytelling, whether that is through a graphic, photo, video, or blog. Storytelling isn’t limited to writing words on a page. She enjoys finding ways to break the glass ceiling to communicate to new audiences in more efficient ways.
For her, a career path in digital marketing started with a passion for fine arts. She loves painting and drawing, and from that stemmed an interest in video and graphic design. Through Digital Creative, Alexis hopes to harness analytical skills, and from that growth, improve the content she creates.
Alexis’s college experience at Lee University was what first created the bridge between art and content creation. Her ultimate goal is to show people that you can influence the world through art.
What apprenticeship experience did you benefit from most?
Not only did I go to school at Lee University – I also was a student worker on the Media Services team for the 3 years that I was there. Through that I was given room to be creative and experience media production, event amplification, and content development. My boss and professors were great at setting me up for success and pushing me in the areas they saw potential. I grew personally and professionally, and I accredit a lot of the path I am on now to my time there.
What emerging marketing technology excites you?
Advanced targeting technology is probably what excites me the most. I love creating social media content because there is so much you can do with it. The targeting technology ensures that the right people are seeing what you make, so that is really cool for me as a Content Marketer.
